Harrachov & the Mumlava Waterfalls
Harrachov is a cosy mountain town just an hour away, with scenic trails leading to the Mumlava Waterfalls – perfect for a refreshing dip and an active summer day.
A winter town with summer appeal
Harrachov, just an hour’s drive from the campsite, is one of the most popular day trips among our guests. Best known for its winter sports, this mountain town also offers great hiking and nature experiences during the warmer months.
One of the highlights is the Mumlava Waterfalls, located about 2.5 km from the town centre. The trail is easy to follow and takes you through a cool pine forest. As you walk, you’ll hear the powerful sound of water before the falls come into view.
The waterfalls are wide and scenic – especially after rain, when they thunder over the rocks. On hot summer days, it’s the perfect place to cool your feet in the icy mountain stream, so don’t forget a towel!
Along the path are several cosy huts where you can grab a drink or enjoy a traditional Czech meal. And if you’re up for more, Harrachov offers many other hiking trails into the surrounding mountains.
In short: Harrachov combines nature, fresh air and local charm – a great choice for a refreshing summer day out.
